Israel - Palestinian Conflict

All those religions of the world which have put their ancient practices to the fore and have not moved ahead with modern education and scientific temperament, are suffering and may continue to suffer, if not changed.

Christianity used to be very vicious once and in the medieval era after the establishment of churches, people used to be charred alive for heresy. Subsequently, the treatment of Jews by Christians needs no introduction. But after the second world war, most western nations realized the futility of ancient practices leading to war and moved ahead with science and technology. The result is before us. Thriving western economies with great military & scientific power.

After the fall of the Ottoman Empire, the entire middle east split, and Israel and Palestine came into being. In 1967 Israel was attacked by 5 Arab nations as an ummah but was defeated by Israel within 5 days. Israel learned that it was now a matter of their existence and hence developed itself into huge military power with the help of Christian nations. On the contrary, Palestine continued to fight without any advancement and with only verbal support of Islamic Nations. It happened that for Islamic ideology nations like Iran, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Egypt, Afghanistan ruined themselves with the latest addition of Pakistan, which is on the road to destruction.

Back in India, despite we being neutral to both the nations, during all challenging times, like Kargil Conflict and the recent China Conflict, it was only Israel, which stood by India and not Palestine. But Indian Muslims support Palestinian for an Ummah and not that they are personally affected by Israel - Palestine conflict. But what surprises that, no Muslim leader has ever been able to raise any voice against China for the brutal subjugation of Muslims as much as it is about Palestinians.

World politics is about power and money. And those at the place of power know how to play with it. They use vulnerable societies and reap the benefits. The entire Islamic world has failed to recognize it and has destroyed itself barring two-nation, Bangladesh and Indonesia, which avoided falling into the trap and hence are now turning out to be thriving economies.

India too must take precautions and not imbibe religious bigotry. We should be focused on education and the upliftment of people out of poverty and develop scientific temperament. The Hindu-Muslim issue will take us backward and hence huge caution is needed while moving forward.
